You are charging your smartphone in wrong way!

Most of us already know that our smartphone batteries are too bad. Because they barely last a day or less.

But it is entirely our fault in most of the cases. Because we have been charging them in the wrong way the whole time. But it's partially our fault because we've been charging them wrong this whole time.

Most of us have an ingrained sense of the notion that if we charge our smartphones in small bursts, it will cause long-term damage to their batteries. So as our thought and that it's better to charge them when they're close to dead. But we couldn't be more wrong.

Cadex is a site from battery company called Battery University details on how the lithium-ion batteries work on our smartphones. It is so sensitive to their versions of stress. And, same as like us, extended pressure could damage our smartphone battery's long-term lifespan.

So if you are looking to keep your smartphone battery in top condition and want to carry on all your works for the day without thinking about the battery life, then you have to change some of your habits.

Try not to keep it plugged in when the phone is fully charged

As the report of Battery University, leaving your phone plugged in when it's fully charged, is not good for the battery in the long run.

So whenever your smartphone battery reaches to 100% of its charge, it starts "trickle charges" to keep it at 100% while plugged in. This process put the battery in a high-stress, high-tension state, which wears down the chemistry within.

Battery University included some bunch of scientific details explaining the reasons for it. But the moral of the reasons is "When fully charged, remove the battery" from its charging device." It is just like relaxing yourself after eating so much.

Try not to charge it to full 100%

Try this at least when you don't need the full charge.

Li-ion batteries don't need to be fully charged. And it is not desirable to do. So it is not better to charge it fully. This may seem counterintuitive to you if you always try to keep your smartphone charged all day, But we suggest you to plug it in whenever you can. Batteries will be okay.

Charge your phone whenever you can, but don't overcharge

Some research says that batteries will be much happier if you charge them occasionally instead of charging them for a big season after they become empty.

According to Battery University, the best case scenario is to charge them when they lose 10% is it's charges. But it's not practical to many people. So you should plug it whenever you can, but for a short period. And of course for multiple time a day.

This process will keep your battery to perform normally. And it will help to make your battery last longer. And it might keep it's charge for all the day.

Keep your battery cool

We will not advise you to keep your smartphone is ice just like the image. But remember that, smartphone batteries are so sensitive to heat. So Apple itself suggests everyone remove certain cases of your phone to insulate heat from the phone when you are charging it. So we will advise you to check your device that it gets hot when you charge it or not. If it does, then take out its case first. And if you go out in hot weather, you should better keep your phone covered. It will protect your battery from sunlight, and this will be good for the health of your battery.
